PASTRY CHEF

Package: Approx. £20,000 dependent on experience

Full Time; 9-10 shifts per week

Reporting directly to our Head Chef you will have sole responsibility for our Pastry Section. You will be able to create dishes to be included on our menus and produce desserts to our 2AA rossette standard. EXPERIENCED WAITER & WINE ENTHUSIAST

Package: Approx £16500 plus tips

Full Time: 9-10 shifts per week

The Angel requires a keen individual to work with the North of England's best wine list of 2009 (best wine offering 2009, Northern Hospitality Awards) and wine pub of the year finalist 2008.  This will be an ideal opportunity for someone to develop their already honed skill set by taking an all round approach to furthering their Food & Beverage experience.  The ideal candidate will have a good grounding of knowledge in wines, at least intermediate WSET preferred.

Responsibilities will include:

    Taking wine orders and the service of wine

    Maintaining and controlling stock levels

    Weekly odering

    Working closely with the director of wine to update the wine list

    Assisting with imported wine consignments

    Help to train other staff in basic wine knowledge

    Up sell when and where appropriate

    Food & Bar service when required

It is envisaged that this is an ideal role for someone whose long term goal is to develop their management skills.  Whilst not directly management, the role will be a senior role within a very vibrant, friendly and enthusiastic team.
